Meet Captain George Pfeiffer

Captain George Pfeiffer was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. A life on the water has always been his path. His father spent five decades in the boat business, and George proudly followed in his footsteps, building a career rooted in the sea.

He started fishing from his family dock as a child. That’s where his lifelong passion for the Gulf Coast began. Over the years, George explored every corner of Northwest Florida, South Alabama, and the Alabama Gulf Coast. His experience even extends into the Mississippi Delta.

With over 45 years of offshore fishing behind him, George has seen it all. He’s fought giant Yellowfin Tuna off South Pass, Louisiana, reeled in Cobia, and trolled for Blue Marlin in the DeSoto Canyon.

As a licensed U.S. Coast Guard captain for more than 40 years, George has earned deep respect throughout the region. Talk to any marina or tackle shop on the Gulf, and you’ll likely hear his name mentioned with admiration.

In addition to fishing, George has built his own reefs for over four decades. These structures give him access to some of the hottest fishing holes in the Gulf. Today, he runs the Emerald Spirit from Sportsman Marina in Orange Beach, regularly participating in local tournaments and guiding guests to record catches.

When you fish with Captain George, you get more than a charter. You get deep local knowledge, trusted expertise, and a genuine love for the sea.
